Industrial business management assistants are allrounders and specialists for the industry at the same time: material management, human resource management, finance and accounting, sales and marketing are the sectors in which you will work. That means apprentices will work in all sectors where a commercial qualification is needed. The variety of the operational areas make the everyday life very interesting, assumed you have a interest for business activities. Material management itself contains wide and various working tasks, such as booking of raw materials, calculating of supply prices, controlling of incoming goods and invoice varification. The apprentice must have a good knowledge about materials and goods. The tasks of the apprentice in the human resource department are for example: identifying staff requirements, taking part in the personal recruitment and the personal selection and last but not least planning the allocation of staff. In the sector of finance and accounting the apprentice is engaged in dealing with, booking and controlling all procedures of day to day business. The sales and marketing sector is also very multisided. The tasks in that sector are for example analysis of the market potential, development of a market stragety, preparing offers and customer service. In the first instance industrial business management assistants are person in charge who work team-oriented, process-oriented, project-oriented with using the latest information-, communication- and media- technology for solving problems. The apprenticeship of an industrial business management assistant occurs in a dual system. The apprentices participate in class at the Berufschulzentrum in Stockach two days a week. In the theoretical section of the apprenticeship the aprrentice gets the knowledge of accounting, business studies, national economy, German, social studies, Business English, Spanish respective Frensh and EURO-business studies. A part of the apprenticeship is a 4 to 6 weeks external internship at the end of the second year of training, which is supported by the company.
